STATUES & BUSTS

This is a listing of all the Official Moon Knight related Statues and Busts in my Collection. They are listed in order of release date, from most recent at the top to the oldest at the bottom. Statues and Busts tend to be one of the more expensive items that a collector can pursue. They often have very limited production runs and become extremely expensive to acquire after the initial release. Moon Knight fans are fortunate in that Moon Knight has been realized in numerous high quality busts from various companies over the last several decades.

Panini Moon Knight Statuette (German Edition) Marvel Universum Figuren-Kollektion

This Statuette/Figure was distributed by Panini in multiple markets accross the world in 2019 (and possibly earlier). It has not been made available within the United States. Each region features the same exact figure accompanied by a magazine. The magazine style/content varies depending on location, as does its issue number. The Italian, Mexican, and Spanish magazines feature nearly identical covers and are unbound so they can fold out into a poster featuring art by Declan Shalvey. The reading material appears to be identical outside of the specifics of the language. The German one is considerably different, as it is a traditional style magazine bound with staples along the spine, and therefore does not open into a poster. It also features an alternative cover. The figure pictured, and the one I have in my collection is the German Edition.

Diamond Select Toys: Premier Collection Resin Statue

In the spring of 2018, Diamond Select Toys released their second Moon Knight piece, a full Moon Knight statue, the second to be released. Standing roughly 14 inches tall, this sculpture depicts Moon Knights with a tattered white costume featuring blue and grey accents. This is a rather heavy piece with incredible detail in both the sculpt and paint job. It feels durable and stable thanks to its wide base. It also feels like a very appropriate size for most displays. It is very stable and well balanced. It is limited to 3,000 pieces, and is very available as of this writing.

Gentle Giant LTD Moon Knight Bust

In late 2012, Gentle Giant released the third ever Moon Knight bust. This was the first bust to include fully realized arms (as well as crescent dart), instead of just the torso and head. Standing 7 inches tall, this highly detailed sculpture depicts Moon Knights costume as being primarily white with a silver belt, emblem and gloves. His mask is black, and his cowl features a seam down the middle. This high quality cast feels heavy and durable, and is the perfect size for any sort of display. It is very stable and well balanced. So far this is likely my favorite Moon Knight Bust to date. It launched for only $70, but has seen significant price increases online after its release.

Eaglemoss Moon Knight Statuette

In 2009, Moon Knight became part of Eaglemoss Publication's "Classic Marvel Figurine Collection." This was a series of Magazines that spotlighted a different character with each issue. These magazines shipped with a 3.5 inch lead statuette of the character covered in the magazine. Moon Knight was figure/magazine #82. This mini statue is heavy despite its size. It is hand painted, and is primarily a grey flat color. The statuette features some gold accents on the belt as well as a black mask. Each figure is numbered on the base. The Detail is superb, with well realized costume details, including a seam down the middle and a tattered cape. This statuette is still surprisingly affordable to find online, and goes nicely on any desk or similar display.

Bowen Designs Moon Knight Statue: White Version

In 2006 the Fan Favorite Statue Producer Bowen Designs released their Third Moon Knight product, a painted variant of their full figure statue. It was part of Bowens Phase 3 Marvel Statues, #64 to be exact (the original silver version was #63). This variant had an edition size of only 600 statues, and launched for $210. This painted variant of the statue was painted white to reflect the white nature of Moon Knight's later costumes. This statue was sculpted by the Kucharek Brothers and came in two painted varieties. The statue comes in two pieces: the figure, and the base. Although relatively durable, the two pieces do not make a tight connection. Furthermore, it is inappropriately top heavy leading to stability issues. It needs to be displayed securely to keep it from falling over. The more limited edition size of this variant makes it considerably more rare than the silver version, and is therefore much more expensive to acquire.

Bowen Designs Moon Knight Statue: Silver Version

In 2006 the Fan Favorite Statue Producer Bowen Designs released their second Moon Knight product, a Full figure statue. It was part of Bowens Phase 3 Marvel Statues, #63 to be exact. It had an edition size of 2000 statues, and launched for $190. Not only was this the first full figure Statue of Moon Knight, it is also the only statue to acknowledge that Moon Knight's classic costume was Silver and not white. This statue was sculpted by the Kucharek Brothers and came in two painted varieties. The other version, a White variant, was released around the same time and is considerably more rare. The statue comes in two pieces: the figure, and the base. Although relatively durable, the two pieces do not make a tight connection. Furthermore, it is inappropriately top heavy leading to stability issues. It needs to be displayed securely to keep it from falling over. This statue is rare, and sells for higher than its introductory price.

Diamond Select: Marvel Universe Moon Knight Bust

2005 saw the release of the second ever Moon Knight Bust thanks to a limited release from Diamond Select Toys. This 6" Bust had an edition size of 2,500 and an introductory retail price of $50. Designed by Eli Livingston for Art Asylum, this particular bust is the most stylized and unique of all the Moon Knight statues. It features exaggerated shapes in an attempt to create a strong crescent shape throughout the design. The sharp angles and strong curves give this bust a very striking presence. It is a medium weight bust that is surprisingly stable. It has become one of the harder to find statues of Moon Knight to find in recent years, and can often demand a high price.

Bowen Designs: Moon Knight Bust

In 2002, Bowen designs released the first Official Moon Knight Statue/Bust ever made. Sculpted by Randy Bowen himself, Moon Knight became Mini-Bust #52 of their Marvel Phase 1 designs. This bust had an Edition size of 5000, and had a starting retail price of only $40. This bust has a predominantly white paint job with a dark grey mask. The costume design used in this statue is reminiscent of the 80's version of Moon Knight's costume. It has a moderate weight to it, and is very stable thanks to its wide, flat base. In recent years this item has become considerably more expensive.
